Peter is a member of the Elevator Artists and a winner of The Alex Prowse Website Award for Pastels, presented annually to a non-member exhibiting at the Pastels Society's annual exhibition in London, awarded to artists whose work shows notable originality and good technical skills.
He has regularly exhibited in Liverpool and has had shows at Editions in Cook Street and The Gallery Liverpool in Stanhope Street. He also carries out sessional work for the Koestler Trust and has become one of its award judges.

Random creates paintings of people and places using aerosol. His work first appeared on buildings along the River Dee where he was named the ‘Flintshire Banksy’ by the BBC and local press. In Liverpool his ‘Dooley’ stencil appeared on the wall of the Liverpool Academy of Arts in Seel Street which has strong links with the Liverpool sculpture Arthur Dooley.
His multi-layered work is very precise and requires up to thirteen stencils per image. Random’s work has sold successfully in Chester, on the Wirral and at the Corke Art Gallery especially since ‘Busstop’ was awarded a Highly Commended prize at the 2011 Grosvenor Museum’s 9th Open Art Exhibition.
His most recent work uses Tunisian newspapers as the canvas for stencil paintings of local people photographed during his visit to Tunisia. Also in the show are familiar views of Liverpool from unusual Perspectives including ‘Reflection on St George’s Plateau’.

The show included original oil paintings by Huw Lewis Jones showing striking night time views of famous streets and landmarks in Liverpool and beautiful landscapes in and around Dolgellau and the Mountains of Snowdonia in North Wales. The paintings represent powerful, personal images from the artist’s past life which inspired him in his youth and continue to inspire him today. The show in the Corke Art Gallery features many new large scale works and a collection of Huw’s pen and ink drawings.

Liverpool born artist and sculptor, Joel Bird returns to Liverpool with a new collection of stunning work.
Joel’s work is compared to the Austrian Abstract Expressionists and members of the Wiener Werkstätte as well as ‘original’ art such as Maori, Native American and Inuit. Such comparisons can be observed, stemming from Joel’s belief, that art represents the indestructible link between working creative humans and nature.
Liverpool born artist and sculptor, Joel Bird returns to Liverpool with a new collection of stunning work.
Artist's Statement
"With this collection, I began with a vision of the art nouveau decorative arabesques and introduced expressionist aesthetics. Initially, the nude models are seen as a motif, the erotic impact is less direct, the polarity between skin tones and the bed clothes or drapes can be easily read as abstract. Some classical elements remain and it is this balance of ornamental abstraction and the more realistic pointillist rendering which creates equilibrium between the nude as a woman and as a creature of ornament and expresses the delicate relationship between our understanding of nature and art."
Joel Bird Art hangs in private and public collections across America, Europe & Japan. Including solo exhibits in Philadelphia & London invites to Liverpool & Florence Biennials.
